She was born in Vero Beach, Florida, and lived in Fellsmere, Florida her entire life.
Elia earned her high school diploma from Indian River Estate College, Vero Beach, FL, she earned her associate's degree in Theology from Mizpa Christian University.
Mrs. Vasquez was employed with the City of Fellsmere in the building and permits department where she loved to greet her customers with a friendly smile that would illuminate the room.
Elia was a member of Iglesia New Life / Nueva Vida, Fellsmere, Florida.
Survivors include husband of 20 years, Erasmo Vasquez, daughter, Julianna Vasquez; parents, Ramiro and Maria Carmen Solis; sister, Noelia Raya, Asalia Gonzalez, Velia Solis, Evelia Chavez; brother, Ramiro Solis, Jr. all of Fellsmere; 17 nieces and nephew and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Erasmo Vasquez Jr. in 1995.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Iglesia New Life / Nueva Vida, 10076 Esperanza Circle Unit A-4, Fellsmere, Florida 32948 in loving memory of Maria Elia Vasquez.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 North Central Avenue, Sebastian, Florida 32958.
A Celebration of Elia Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Riverside Church Assembly of God, 11205 Roseland Road, Roseland, Florida 32958. Immediately following the service the burial will take place at Sebastian Cemetery, Sebastian, Florida.
