Michael L. Sullivan, 81, of Montoursville passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 surrounded by his family, who he truly adored.
Born on March 18, 1940, he was the son of the late Edward and Wilma Sullivan.
He graduated from St. Paul's in Scranton. On August 1, 1964, Mike married the love of his life, Carol Cron. Together the couple raised three children; Edward (Kim) Sullivan of Annapolis, MD, Timothy (Joi) Sullivan of Montoursville, PA, and Lauri (Don) Sunderland of Gainesville, VA. Mike was the proud Pop-pop of nine grandchildren; Ashleigh, Taylor, and Alexis Sullivan (Edward and Kim); Tim (Terilee) and Mollie Sullivan (Tim and Joi), and Alexis (Blake Duncan), Madison, Brynn, and Olivia Sunderland (Lauri and Don).
Mike was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was a proud member of the Notre Dame Club of Williamsport, a lifelong golfer, and he loved tinkering in his yard. Anyone who knew Mike, knew he had a sweet tooth. He was also a twin.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Michael McCormick officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns the family is requesting masks to be worn and social distancing observed. A private ceremony will take place for the family only immediately following mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's name to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
