Mr. Harper was born in Jeff Davis County.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Elzie Harper, sister, Gayla Harper and brother, Keith Harper. He was a perfectionist and lived his life to the fullest. He loved fishing and gardening, but his heart was in woodworking. He attended Elizabeth Baptist Church and Hillcrest Baptist Church. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Cherie Miles Harper of Hazlehurst; son, Keith Harper of Hazlehurst; step-son, Dawson Carey of Hazlehurst; mother, Nell Harper of Hazlehurst; and nephew, Weston Horton of Hazlehurst.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021at 3:00pm in the Denton Cemetery with Rev. Keith Yawn and Rev. Thomas Colter officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Ben Harris, Kevin Ellis, Leland Adams, Dawson Carey, Karson Wildes, Buddy Creech and Chuck Simpson.
