NANCY'S OBITUARY

Nancy Sue Turner, 55, of Hersey, passed away peacefully October 15, 2021, with her family at her side.

Nancy was born in Paw Paw, Michigan on October 17, 1965. In 1983, Nancy met Lawrence (Larry) Turner. They were together for 38 years and raised two children: Sarah and Sam.

Nancy enjoyed camping, traveling the country with her husband, all things Halloween, and spending time with her grandchildren, who loved and will miss their Nana deeply. She fulfilled her dream of owning a restaurant when she opened the River Junction Restaurant & Bar in Hersey in 2011.

Nancy's proudest achievement was her role as a mother and grandmother. She valued her family above all else. She was there for every milestone, every holiday, every birthday. Nancy had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. She was generous and loving to family and friends and will be missed by all whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra McDougal; father, Clifton McDougal; brother, Bruce Coder; and sister, Doris Jeffer. She is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Sarah (Gus) Sharp; son, Sam Turner; sister, Linda Figg; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 12:00 pm at the Hersey Village Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at the River Junction Restaurant in Hersey.
