Mr. Wesley Johnson, age 87, of Douglasville, Georgia, went home to be with Lord on Monday morning at his residence. A native of Crenshaw, MS, Mr. Johnson was born on July 26, 1934, the son of the late William Wesley and Velma Lee Holley Johnson. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was the President and CEO of Wesley Johnson Exterminating Company for many years and Mirror Lake Pest Control. He was preceded in death by two daughters; Alicia Johnson on June 16, 2017 and Allyn Johnson on October 8, 1999 and by his son, William "Wes" Johnson on October 1, 2020.
He was known as a proud born-again Christian who wanted to tell everyone about Jesus Christ. Along with owning the pest control and exterminating company, he also helped with beloved wife, Donna, with her restaurant, "Donna's Place" and was instrumental in the founding of Paulding Baptist Church and Hiram Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Mrs. Donna Jean Turner Johnson. Six grandchildren; William Johnson, Brett Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Chase Worsham, Jaden Worsham, and Savannah Paris Williams. Six great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services are currently being planned for Mr. Johnson and will be announced when completed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorial contributions be made to the Hiram First Baptist Church.
