Michael Leon "Winky" Blair, age 65, died Friday, October 15, 2021, at Saint Joseph East in Lexington. He was born in Madison County October 7th, 1956, to the late Geneva Blair. Winky loved drag racing, collecting baseball cards, going to flea markets, and tracing his ancestry. He was a member of the Turtle Clan of the Cherokee Nation.
Other than his mother he was preceded by his maternal grandparents Ernest and Flossie Blair who raised him. Also preceding him in death was a brother, James B. Smith and a sister, Myrtle Thomas.
Winky is survived by his two brothers, Roger (Angie) Smith of Berea, KY, and Stevie (Sandy Mayes) Lakes of Richmond, KY, four sisters, Gail Miller, and Pat (Daniel) Delaney both of Berea, KY, Ginger (Thomas) Alexander of Nicholasville, KY, and Lisa (Greg) Foster of Richmond, KY. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, October 22, 2021, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Brown officiating. You may view the service live on our website at www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
