Chuck attended the Royal Oak school system and upon graduation from high school he entered the United States Air Force where he served with distinction for 20 years. There he met Deuk (Jackie), the love of his life, Chuck retired from the Air Force and enjoyed life to the fullest.
He has 3 siblings, 2 brothers and a sister which includes Larry (wife) Kathy, Tom (wife) Linda, and Mandy (husband) Michael Kraus. He has many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He deeply appreciated their genuine love for him. Chuck was agreat person and loved by everyone.
Chuck volunteered and served with US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 53.
There he was known as a "Big Bear" and then he also named his private boat "Big Bear" He enjoyed water patrols, vessel inspections and shared boating skills.
Chuck was very creative and a talented crafter. His eye for detail was amazing and envied by those who viewed his work.
He even created a small shop in his house, where he enjoyed making miniature houses and anything out of wood.
Chuck has a huge collection of over 100 model cars, housed in various display stands, He assembled with his own hands and showed great interest in them. But his favorite car was his family car, a KIA that got washed just about every other days and he was often kidded about his car that never really needed cleaning but got washed anyway.
Chuck left us with cheerful memories to those who loved him and he will always be remembered!
