Dorothy M. Lowmaster, 88, of Lower Burrell, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in her home. She was born Dec. 23, 1918, in Huntingdon, Pa., daughter of the late Albert and Dollie (Bickett) Banks, and lived 65 years in Lower Burrell. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, traveling and her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lester Lowmaster; a son, Wayne Allen Lowmaster; brothers, Norman, James, Paul and Fred Banks; and sisters, Esther David, Ruth Parks, Sarah Boonie, Margaret David and Ellen Banks. She is survived by a son, Richard Lowmaster, of Lower Burrell; two grandchildren, Dorothy and Charlotte Lowmaster, both of North Carolina; a brother, Lloyd Banks, of Texas; and three sisters, Joann Talbort and Martha David, both of Michigan, and Frances Taylor, of Monongahela. There will be no visitation. Burial will be private in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Arrangements by FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, Lower Burrell.
