Eugene (Gene) Reynolds of Oak Grove, Arkansas was born December 28, 1934, in Carr Lane, Missouri to Henry and Reta (Wise) Reynolds, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021, in Berryville, Arkansas at the age of 86.
Gene was a founding member of the Oak Grove Fire Department and a former member of the Oak Grove City Council. He enjoyed planting his garden, growing vegetables, listening to country music and watching old westerns. In his younger years he liked to fish and hunt.
Gene was drafted into the Army in 1957, served in the National Guard and was discharged from the Reserve in 1963. He worked many jobs including hauling milk to the Kraft Foods plant in Berryville and to Branson Dairy, delivering groceries for Harrison Grocery, and worked for the garment factory in Berryville. Gene retired from Tyson's in Green Forest and delivered parts to local garages for O'Reilly Auto Parts for many years.
Gene is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janette (Marshall) Reynolds; daughters Gina Gibbins (George) and Sheila Gibbins both of Berryville, Arkansas; grandchildren Megan Owens (Tim) Forsyth, Missouri and Matthew Gibbins of Berryville, Arkansas; great granddaughter Sophera Grace Owens and several other relative and friends who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Reta Reynolds and his beloved German Shepherd Trooper.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Bradley officiating.
