Kevin is survived by his parents, Kenneth B. and Deborah C. Peters. Also surviving family are Ken Chasse, Kristie Chasse, Beverly Chasse and husband Justin Welch; Chris, Julie and Kyle Peters; Fran and Lois Peters; and others who loved him, too numerous to name.
Kevin was loved by many, a fact he may have overlooked in life, but by God's grace knows now. Kevin's death is a testament to the much repeated, but rarely heeded tenet that those you love should be made aware of it, frequently, lest you lose the chance later.
In his short life, Kevin had notable achievements. He completed basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Georgia, in August, 2006, as well as 82nd Airborne Jump School later that year. Kevin remained proud of these achievements until his death. Those he left behind remain equally proud of him.
It is with great sadness that those who loved him now let him go, praying simply to be allowed to see him in heaven.
Funeral arrangements were handled by The Mackey Mortuary, and a graveside service was officiated by Dr. Marshall Sargent, with Amazing Grace played on bagpipes by his cousin, Kyle Peters, at Graceland East Memorial Park in a private service on November 26, 2007.
