She was born August 19, 1937, in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Ellis Dewey Bodenhamer and Lula Holcomb Bodenhamer.
Jane was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church. She retired from Goody's manufacturing after many years of dedicated employment. Jane was an active supporter of the Winston-Salem Thunderbird Hockey team for many years until her declining health and was unable to attend. Jane will be remembered for how much she loved her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, J.P. Wyatt; and sister, Jacqueline Brewster.
Jane is survived by her two sons, James Donald Wyatt (Robin) and John Dewey Wyatt (Debbie); three grandchildren, Joshua Edward Wyatt, Sarah Bowman Hylton (Derik), and Amanda Tolley (Kevin); five great-grandchildren, Colten Wyatt, JT Wyatt, Lilly Hylton, Levi Hylton, and Gavin Tolley; three nieces; three nephews; her dear friend who was like a sister, Pat Weddle; and her loving furry friend Boceaphus.
The family would like to thank the staff at Kate B. Reynold Hospice Home for the care to Jane.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Ben Webb officiating. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
