Regina J. Lewis was born March 08, 1951 in New Haven, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence "Tom" Edgar Overton and Lois Rae (Cissna) Overton.
She married Charles Taylor, and he preceded her in death on July 24,1980.
She later married Ray Dean Lewis on November 6,1991 in Morganfield, Kentucky, and he survives.
Regina worked as a CNA for many years, and later retired from Richland Memorial Hospital as a cook. She loved family very much, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her family pets. Regina was a dedicated Girl Scout Leader for several years. Also, Regina enjoyed playing bingo and scratch-offs.
Regina is survived by her husband; daughter, Gina (John) Hutton; son, Monty Taylor; mother, Lois Overton; step children, Becky (Don) Harrington, Staci Rinehart, Shawn (Sherman) Yoho, and Kenneth Lewis; grandchildren; Shawnee (Shawn) Atteberry, Hannah Taylor, Bryson Taylor; Denine Rinehart, Casey (Warren Swinson) Rinehart; Tori (James) Gosnell; Jessica Phillips, Emily (Paul) Stice, Austin (Eva) Stinnett, Cody Yoho, Sierra Yoho, and Evan Yoho; several great grandchildren; brother, Leo (Nancy) Overton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, first husband, mother-in-law, Erma Lewis and sisters-in-law, Duane "Dude" Overton and Jacquie Scott.
A funeral service for Regina will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Cornerstone Community Church in Noble, Illinois, with a visitation beginning one-hour prior.
Interment will follow the service at Hanna Cemetery.
