Obituary for Billie L Carlson
Princeton- Billie L. Carlson, 85, of rural Princeton passed away on Thursday October 14, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony's Rockford, IL. He was born on December 21, 1935 in Dover, IL.

After graduating from Malden High School in 1954, he married R. Faith Rodefer, his high school sweetheart, on July 3, 1955. They shared 66 years together.

Billie retired from LCN after 40 years and he continued to farm up until his death. He was a practical joker, loved wood working, hunting, harness racing, pitching horseshoes and golfing with his son and grandsons. Above all, he loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife, R Faith Carlson; one brother, Donald Carlson; five children, Dan Carlson, Chirstine Fues, Jennifer Smith (Scott), Beth Culjan (Jim) and Paula Bader: grandchildren, Eric (Jayme) Carlson, Shana (Mario) Tello, Allyson (Lee) Brown, Cody Fues (Heidi Nielson), Garret Fues (Kayla Frese), Hunter Culjan and Alec Maish: great grandchildren, Kharin, Damen, Briant and Chloe Krieger, Chase Carlson, Lorenzo Tello, Hudson Brown (due December), Tyler and Valerie Frese, great-great grandchild, Luka Dean; along with nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Fern (Dennison) Carlson, one brother, Ivan Gene, who died at birth.

At Billie's request, there will be no services. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date and time.
