Gerald (Jerry) Lynn Taylor, 67, passed away on October 12, 2021 with his wife by his side. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Jerry was born October 7, 1954 to parents Ray and Dorothy Taylor in LaGrange, Illinois. He was the middle sibling of two brothers. Jerry attended Southwest High School in Fort Worth where he made countless, lifelong friendships. Jerry was employed by General Dynamics, now Lockheed Martin for 15 years. After that, he went on to have a career in the medical supply industry where he served as a sales representative for multiple organizations before starting his own medical supply company in 2003. Jerry met the love of his life, Diane in 1983 and they married in 1985. He had two daughters, Megan and Kristin and he raised his step-daughter Kelley. They lived in Fort Worth until they built their dream home in Aledo in 1997. Jerry had a love and passion for motorcycles. He enjoyed riding all over the country and would ride whenever he had the chance. He and Diane also shared a love for boating and the water and would be found most weekends on Lake Granbury water-skiing with family and friends or sailing on their Catamaran. They also shared enjoyment of snow skiing and traveling and spent many vacations in Colorado and New Mexico. Jerry also loved softball and bowling where he played in multiple leagues throughout his adulthood. In his later years, Jerry developed a heart for golf and would play in his leisure time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Dorothy Taylor. He is survived by wife, Diane Taylor of Aledo; daughter Kristin Defoe and her husband, Jack of Burleson; daughter Kelley Moore and her husband, Matt of Prosper; daughter Megan Taylor of Aledo; brother, Matt Taylor; sister in law Lisa Taylor and niece Malise Taylor; brother Bruce Taylor and his wife Peggy of Crowley. He had 7 grandchildren, Katie and husband Nick, Bailey and husband Chris, Faith, Haidyn, Abby, Carter, Kaylie and a future great-grandson arriving in January 2022.
