Elizabeth Hope Loudermilk Rose, 59, of Swannanoa, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.
A native of McDowell County, she was born on August 26, 1962 to the late James Jackson Loudermilk, Jr. and Alice Elliott Loudermilk. She is also preceded in death by a brother, James Jackson Loudermilk, III.
Elizabeth loved children, and she was a second mama to many. She demonstrated hospitality and love to all she came in contact with. She also held a degree in childcare. She loved to cook and listen to music. An avid reader, Elizabeth was a lover of poetry, and she even wrote poetry herself. She loved to talk and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Robert Rose; four children, Amanda Racheal Gouge (Jason Gouge), Misty Dawn Rose, Megan Rose (Brandon Lee), and James Allen Rose; five grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Jayden Gouge, Peyton Lee, Lilly Gettys, and Jannetta Valencia; and one brother, Joseph Stephen Loudermilk.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery with Rev. Harold Webb officiating.
