Jonathan David Lucas, 42, of South Point, OH passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY. David was born March 23, 1979, in Beckley, WV a son of James Michael Lucas and the late Virginia Lucas. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one niece, Cassie Fitzpatrick. David had a love for his family, music, and a passion for guitars. He was the guitar player for Crossover. David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Loretta Fleming Lucas; a daughter, Faith Fleming; one sister, Alisa (Doug) Brown; three brothers, Mark (Toni) Lucas, Rodney (Mary Ann) Lucas, and Keith Lucas; and several nieces and nephews, Adam (Amelia) Brown, Lucas Brown, Sarah Lucas, Michael Aaron Lucas, and Derrick Lucas. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2021, at 12PM at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point OH with Pastor Terry Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Mask and social distancing will be required to attend.
