San Tan Valley, AZ - James Dwight Holt, 74, of San Tan Valley, Arizona formally from Bucyrus, passed away on September 30, 2021. Jim was born in Bucyrus on March 25, 1947 to Donald C. Holt and Eileen Shock Holt. He was raised in Ridgeton, Ohio and attended Holmes Liberty School graduating from Wynford High School with class of 1965. Jim married Kathryn Sue Carr on June 4, 1966, having celebrated 55 years of marriage. She survives in San Tan Valley. Jim entered the United States Service in 1966. He spent 1967-1968 in Viet Nam. He was honored to be soldier of the Month, 1st Cav, FDC Unit. Jim worked as a Mechanic and car salesman in Bucyrus and Arizona. He also lived in Montevideo, Minnesota where he and his wife owned and operated a video store and business building before returning to Arizona to retire and enjoy hi Grandkids. Jim like woodworking and making devices work from a different product. He and his family loved boating and camping and riding Razor's together. He loved to study maps and travel to different locations. He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother and Brother, Donald R. Holt and Grandson, James Triston Holt. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn Sue Holt. Also surviving are his Daughter, Tina (Chris) Holt Munton; son, James Scott (Cassie Ulmer) Holt. Granddaughters, Autum Munton, Lindsey Munton, Shelby Munton, Harper Holt and Jamison Hold. All of which live in Arizona. He is also survived by his brother, Gary (Sherry) Holt, Bucyrus; sisters Kathie (Chris) Holt Murray, Springfield, Ohio; and Joann Holt Needles of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Jim was survivied by his step-grandchildren, Dalin and Kenzie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also his sister-in-law Carole Holt, Bucyrus.

Services will be held October 18, 2021 at the National Veterans Honor Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona.
