James enjoyed fishing, wood working, building cabins, reading the bible and praying. He loved spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Interment will take place at Ural Cemetery Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory is his wife, Helen Gales of Elk City, Oklahoma; one son, Jr. Gales, of Elk City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Betty Jo, and son-in-law Luis of Fletcher, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Luis Miguel Jaquez, Victor Jaquez, Lorena Lea Jaquez, of Fletcher, Oklahoma; five sisters, Evelyn Jones, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Betty Merriman, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Judy Elrod, of Grove, Oklahoma, Sharon Tollison, of Grove, Oklahoma, Shirley Crumm, of Dill City, Oklahoma.
Preceded in death by his father, Lee Samuel Gales and mother, Fannie Joe (Mixon) Gales, two brothers and two sisters.
