Geiger, Kenneth Allen, arrived in heaven on June 13, 2007. He was born in Lakewood, Ohio on April 25, 1924 to Florence Schmidt Geiger and Harry W. Geiger. Ken grew up in Rocky River Ohio as the youngest of seven brothers and sisters. He attended the Valley Forge Military Academy. Mr. Geiger servived in Northern France in WWII and received the Purple Heart after being wounded in battle. He then graduated from Ohio University where he met his bride Barbara Scott Freeman, to whom he was married for 60 years. Over 50 of those years were spent in La Habra and Brea. Mr. Geiger enjoyed a 25 year career with Hallmark Cards. He retired as a Regional Manager for the west coast to open two Hallmark Card stores. After selling their two stores, Ken and Bobbie travelled extensively throughout the world. Ken loved planning his trips, fishing, spending time with family and long time friends as well as participating in a close knit bible study group at La Habra Hills Presbyterian Church. His family remembers him as a dedicated father, an honorable man, and selfless Christian with an entertaining sense of humor. He was an epitome of the "Greatest Generation". Mr. Geiger is preceded in death by his siblings Harry, Dorothy, Ruth, Milton, Vernon and Jeanne. Ken is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Debra Howells Rowland (Mark) and Margaret Londre (Dale) and son, Dirk (Lupita). Also survived by his grandchildren, Allen Howells (Laura), David Howells (Renee), Scott Howells, Michelle Londre, Nicole Londre, Andrea Geiger, Rebecca Geiger as well as great-grandchildren, Katelynn Howells and Haiden Howells. In lieu of flowers please make donations to La Habra Hills Presbyterian Church or the local American Diabetes Association. A service will be held at La Habra Hill Presbyterian Church, La Habra at 11:00 a.m. on June 21st, 2007. Interment will be at Riverside national Cemetery, CA.
