A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Randy Jessup officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Adkins, affectionately known as "Bebe", was born on February 2, 1938 in Stokes County to the late William Hall and Bernice Lawson Hall. Bobbie retired from Jefferson-Pilot after forty-four years of service and was a lifetime member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, where she served in many positions throughout the years. She loved her flowers; however her greatest joy was her beloved family and traveling to Gatlinburg with her husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Sheppard; niece, Melia Sheppard and brother-in-law, John Sheppard.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Dean Adkins; son, Brent Adkins; granddaughter, Shea A. Joy (Justin); great-grandchildren, Hunter Stanley and Callie Joy; nephew, Danny Sheppard; great-nephew, Wayne Sheppard (April and daughter, Melia).
