Stephen Christopher Ryan Johnson, 40, passed unexpectedly on October 5, 2021. He was born February 13, 1981, at St. Rita's Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

Chris graduated from Perry High School in 1999. Following graduation, he served in the U.S Army at Fort Wayne Wright Alaska as a Light Wheel Mechanic. He earned several military decorations, the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, Marksman Marksmanship, and a Rifle Qualifications Bar badge. He also served in the Ohio National Guard Reserves.

After the military Chris received his Associates Degree from Columbus State Community College in Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technology. He was well liked and worked at Smith Medical in Dublin, Ohio as an Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technician.

He is preceded in death by his father Stephen Lee Johnson, his paternal grandparents Howard Albert Johnson and Sarah Jane Owens Wright Johnson; his maternal grandparents James Bankston and Audrey Jackson Bankston; his paternal Uncle's Milton Wright, Eugene Wright, and David Johnson; and his maternal Aunt's Susan Bankston and Priscilla Marshall.

Chris leaves behind his four children, Amia Williams of Biloxi Mississippi, Aliah Bolden of Lima Ohio, Jordin Johnson from Columbus Ohio, and Christopher Johnson from Monaca, Pennsylvania. His mother Jeanette L. Bankston Johnson-Brown (Bobby Brown), his two sisters Darchelle R. Humphries (Dr. Charles T. Humphries) and Dawn D. Toure (Dr. Abu J. Toure), his niece Kameron T. Smith, his three nephews Stephen, Joshua, and Nicholas Humphries, step brother and sister Conrad and Yolanda Brown, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin, and a friend to many. He never met a stranger. He loved to laugh and enjoy life. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time laughing and loving on the people closest to him. While we may weep in pain, we rejoice in remembering the good times. Today is about celebrating his life, so that together we may acknowledge and share both our joy, in the gift of his life, and the pain that his passing brings.

Home going services will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward, officiating

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services also the Church.

Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery
