Gary L. Cann, 72, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was born on May 16, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky the son of Thomas Drake and Velma Brockley Cann.
Gary was a retired firefighter for the Louisville Metro Fire Dept., worked in the security command center for the US Census Bureau, and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He survived by his wife Barbara Diane Callaway Cann; children Brittany Johnson, Matthew Brown, and Shannon Cann.
Visitation for Gary will be held from 3-7 pm Thursday at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Hwy.. No funeral service is scheduled, and private burial at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central will be at a later date.
