Franklin J. Dean, age 73 of Bay City, passed away peacefully on October 16,2021 after a short battle with cancer surrounded by family.

Frank was born in Pigeon, Michigan on July 5, 1948 to the late Joseph M. and Doris E. (McArdle) Dean.

He graduated from Bad Axe High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army in 1968. He worked many years and retired from C&O (CSX) Railroad. Frank had many interests including: spending time with his family, playing cards, golfing, and playing pool. He was an avid motorcyclist his entire life and was still joyfully giving his grandsons rides the month before his illness. For many years he enjoyed driving crosscountry to California to visit his children and grandchildren and making new friends in multiple casinos. Frank was a loving and devoted son, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and Godfather.

Frank is survived by his son Michael (Leslie) Dean and daughter Kelli (Jeff) Morin, grandchildren Jack Danger, Joseph Scott, Max, Shea and Evy, siblings Joseph aka Dizzy (Kim deceased), Raymond, John (Brenda), Loretta (James) Wieszciecinski, James, Mary (Terry) Avery and Patricia (Daniel) Corcoran as well as his sister-cousin Joyce Walker, Aunt Joan Blome, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul D. Dean.
