Debra Ann Humphreys, 54, of Spokane Valley, passed away peacefully in her home Monday, June 3, 2013 after a courageous seven month battle with lung cancer that metastasized to the brain. She was born October 9, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas to Johnny Humphreys and Patricia Thompson. Those who met Deb immediately fell in love with her genuine warmth and smile. Deb had a gregarious personality that made it easy to form a long lasting caring relationship. She was the life of the party and was always there for others as a shoulder to lean on. She loved watching her father race, loved to travel, and not only enjoyed spending time with her family, but lived for it. After years as a valued operations manager for DA Davidson Deb became a real estate broker which she loved because it gave her opportunities to meet many new people. Survived by her father Johnny and wife Jan; mother Patricia; dear friend Rosemary; the father of her three children Nick; son Nicolas and wife Tamara, son Sean and fiancee Janie; daughter Nicole and husband Nick; and granddaughter Abigail along with numerous other in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cancer Care Northwest and Gamma Knife of Spokane. In particular, thank you to Dr. Danko Martincheck, Dr. Christopher Lee and Dr. Alexander MacKay and their respective staffs. Deb left a significant impact on all of our lives and she will be dearly missed. Vigil Service: Friday, June 7, 2013 6pm at Community Cremation & Funeral 13127 E. Sprague, Spokane Valley.
