Mrs. Ella M. Kottke, 84, of 563 S. Park Ave., died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at Maple Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Born March 14, 1891, at Yellowbank, Minn., she was the daughter of Charles K. and Eliza Gloege Bethke. She was married to George F. Kottke on Nov. 23, 1915, at Yellowbank, Minn.
They lived in Michigan, Minnesota and Illinois, coming to this area in 1926. They farmed in the Town of Byron. Mrs. Kottke was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and Berean Class.
Survivors include four sons, Roland W., Chester C. and James L., all of the Town of Oakfield; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Pfund and Mrs. Kenneth Briester both of Fond du Lac; 26 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Other survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Gloege of Bellingham, Minn., Mrs. Laura Gloege of Madison and Mrs. Irene Bornbeck of Perham, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 29, 1954, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Candlish Chapel with the Rev. Solomon G. Cramer officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.
Friends of Mrs. Kottke may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
