Roy Lee Brickey was born to Franklin 'Smitty' Brickey and Ruby Darlene Caruthers July 10, 1950 in Great Bend Barton County Kansas. Roy spent his younger years growing up in the Geneseo Kansas area until him Grandmother Easter Ruth Zimmerman Caruthers passed away and the family moved to Lindsborg, McPherson County Kansas.
Roy worked in the Oil Fields as a young man moving on to become the Purchasing Director with Bush Hog until he retired.
Roy married his first wife and to this union a daughter was born. This marriage ended in divorce.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Goforth; daughter, Heather Callen; brother, Dale Brickey; and grandchildren, Caden Wells and Zoe Wells.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Biological father Franklin Brickey, his mother Ruby Darlene Caruthers Brickey Palmer along with the man who so lovingly raised Roy Gene Palmer and brother, Steve Brickey.
