Reverend Clyde Delmas Murphy, 79, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the VA Hospital Center in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on March 16, 1942, to the late John Wilbur and Genevieve (Burrough) Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Sue (Kyle) Murphy, whom he married in 1962. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Delmas Murphy.

Reverend Murphy proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the US Postal Service until retiring in 2004. Was a minister at Lodgeville Baptist Church and Isaac Creek Baptist Church. Currently, was attending Lambert's Run Church.

He enjoyed to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially time spent watching his great granddaughters grow.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra K. Glaspell and husband Jack of Clarksburg, WV; granddaughter, Amberly Rose Osbourn and husband Josh; grandson, Ryan Michael Glaspell and wife Hannah; great granddaughters, Callie May Glaspell and Amelia Rose Osbourn; his brother, Dana Murphy and wife Patty, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Reverend Murphy was a man of God and gave his testimony, even in his last hours.

He will be truly missed by friends and family.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery at 11:00am, with Pastor Larry Kyle officiating.
