Memorial Services were held on October 2, 2021. Arvella lived in Sun City, Arizona, but was originally from the Mound City area. She was the daughter of Robert and Edna Evans Moody. Arvella worked for the Inglewood Police Department, Los Angeles County, California. After her retirement, she was constantly on the go. She loved attending concerts and other cultural events. On any given day, you could find her at one of her many sewing machines. Arvella was a gifted quilter. Through her generosity, her quilts are spread all over the United States. She loved sharing her works of art with her relatives and friends. Never at a loss for words, Arvella was definitely a "people person." She could talk for hours on any given subject. Arvella will definitely be missed, but always remembered by those who loved her.
