Our Beloved Father Ray Adams, passed on October 8, 2021, at the golden age of 89. Just short of his upcoming 90th birthday. Born December 17, 1931 Ray leaves behind his former wife Mary Ann Adams and his four children Charles Ray Adams (daughter in law Crystal Adams), Brenda K. Adams- Baker (Son-in-law James Baker), Cinda Lee Adams and David Neal Adams- Parcell (son in law James Parcell), 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Ray was a free spirit and would give the shirt from his back to help anyone in need. His motto was " Don't Let the Grass Grow Under Your Feet". You must keep moving he would often say with a jovial smile to those who surrounded him. Ray was proud to represent his country during the Koeran war. He served as an Army Heavy tank crew member/driver, 32nd Infantry. Where he earned 3 Bronze Stars and The Presidential Citation. He resided in Newport, Kentucky for most of his adult life. Surrounded by those who greatly cared for him as close friends and even a stranger in need. Ray worked for Heekin Can Company where he retired in mid 1980's. He raised his family alongside Mary Ann Adams and was a well-respected man with many friends in the community. This wonderful man will be greatly missed. Visitation Wednesday October 20th from 11:00AM until hour of service at 12:00 Noon at the Allison & Rose Funeral Home 5645 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Milll, KY. .
