Vincent Kenneth Russell Sr., 73, of Altoona passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at UPMC Altoona. He was born on August 2, 1948, in Altoona; a son of the late Walter Kenneth and Dorothy E. (Wilson) Russell. On November 13, 1971, he married Jane (Powley) Russell who survives in Altoona. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this November.

Vincent was a superintendent for Conrail and Norfolk Southern, retiring in 2001. He was with the railroad for 34 years. Additionally, Vincent was a military veteran serving in the US Navy. Some of his hobbies include deer and bear hunting, collecting guns, and watching wrestling and football, especially Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Vince was a very proud and devoted father. He was always there to watch and support his sons when they wrestled, never missing a single match.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his youngest son, Scott E. Russell, who preceded him in death on May 1, 2010.

At the families request please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Good Funeral Home, 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Jon Gross officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
