Jose Ruiz Baez, age 74, passed away on September 7, 2021. Jose was passionate about missionary work, and served in Mexico, Texas, and here in Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, and loved cooking for his family, including dishes like gazpacho. He was preceded in death by his daughter Estrella Ruiz, mother Gladys Baez, father Manuel Ruiz, brothers Hector Ruiz, Jamie Ruiz, and Julio Ruiz. He is survived by his wife Maria; children Jose Angel and Trisha Ruiz, Gladys Ruiz; grandchildren: Nicole, Alexis, Bryson, Caden, Thaddeus, Mindy, Chambers, David, Cristian, Lorena; great-grandchildren: Arlee, Andee, Houston, Giovani, Aubree, Hezekiah, Eliana, Brielle, Callen, Lavinia, Ulysses, Oaklee; Siblings: Luis Ruiz, Nelida and Manuel Rodriguez, Manuel Ruiz, Angel Ruiz, Norma and Ovilio Rodriguez, Victor and Annie Ruiz, Miriam and Luis Cartajena. Services will be on Saturday, September 11, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street in Holland, at 11:00am. The family will greet visitors at 10:30am.
