GROVER: Thomas "Daryl" Dixon, 72 died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Thomas Frank and Emogene Allen Dixon. Daryl served in the Army during Vietnam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Dixon; and sister, Tracy Rippy.

He is survived by his son, Shane Dixon; daughter, Deryn Price, both of Casar; sisters, Vickie Hamrick of Grover and Kathy Garcia and husband Mike of Kings Mountain; brothers, Mike Dixon of Kings Mountain and Paul Dixon and wife Sandy of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Chelsey and Meagan Whisnant; nephews, Justin Rippy and Stacy Dixon; nieces, Crystal Jackson and Shelli Burgan; and great nephews, Matthew and Chase Burgan.

A graveside service will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Allen Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating.
