JOHN JENNINGS (JACK) DRUMMOND, was born June 21, 1941 and passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 after a year of cancer treatment.

He was a member of the class of 1959 at Lamar High School. Jack attended the US Naval Academy, serving aboard the carrier Antietam in Pensacola, FL, through 1961.
Jack and wife Betty lived in Houston, TX, and Danville, CA, during his career of more than 40 years with Gulf Oil and Chevron. He retired to Katy, TX, in 1996.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was always willing to help others, especially in his field of information technology. Jack was meticulous in everything, yet known for his good humor and fun-loving nature. He enjoyed fishing with his daughter Jennifer, and birding with his friends. He retained close friendships with many of those with whom he had grown up in Houston.

Jack will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by daughter Jennifer Drummond and husband Joseph Lockett; sister Diane Reeves; brother Mike Drummond and wife Jean; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Jack was preceded in death by Betty Sterrett Drummond, his wife of nearly 40 years.
A memorial service in Jack's honor will be Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM in The Morrow Chapel, at The Settegast-Kopf Funeral Directors @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Frwy (Williams Trace exit), Sugar Land, 77478.
