Donald Bailey Daniels, 66, of Godwin, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday October 14th, 2021. Donald was born on December 8, 1954, in Harnett County to the late Donnie and Lenora Pope Daniels. He is also preceded in death by beloved aunt, Lorene Pope McLamb; brother, George Daniels; and sister, Virginia Bennett.
Donald was a devoted husband to his wife Kathy of 40 years and a loving father to his daughter Kristen. Donald never knew a stranger and always had a giving heart.
Donald owned and operated D&K Muffler Shop for over 20 years. He served for 20 years as volunteer firefighter for the Dunn Fire Department. He was an avid drag racer and always enjoyed traveling with his family.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, October 17th, 2021, at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Smith and Rev. Tim McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Lee's Chapel-Williford Cemetery.
Donald is survived by his wife, Kathryn Branch Daniels; daughter, Kristen Daniels; sisters-in-law, Pamela Diane Hobbs (Andy), Debra Branch Byrd (Dean) and Vicki Branch Lund (Roger); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1 – 3 p.m. Sunday two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
