Veronica K. Morgan was born December 23,1960 in Alton Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Wilma (Washington) Butler.
Veronica was united in Holy Matrimony to Vincent Morgan of November 4, 1989 by Pastor Silas Braxton Sr.

Veronica was chosen to leave the Land of the Dying on
October 10, 2021, and enter into the Land of the Living at Alton Memorial Hospital, she peacefully answered his call.

In October of 2018 she joined Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church until her health failed.
Vanessa attended Lewis and Clark Community College, and was employed at Eunice Smith Nursing Home for fifteen years.
Veronica was later employed with Help at Home Agency in Wood River, Illinois. Vanessa was blessed to have spent
32 years with her husband Vincent Morgan, and 60 years with her family and friends.

She especially enjoyed family reunions, vacations, and just sitting at home talking, and having quiet time. Vanessa was a very compassionate, and quiet person. She was preceded in death by her mother ; Wilma (Washington) Butler, father; Earl Butler sisters; Alma J. Rivers, and Marjorie A. Butler, brother; Cardill E. Butler, nieces; Joy E. Isom, and Amber Butler,
granddaughter; Brianna Clark-Morgan, grandfather; Clayton Washington and grandmother; Alma Hose.

In addition to her loving husband Vincent, she leaves to carry on her life of praising God, happiness, and understanding her two daughters; Lawrenisha S. Morgan and Tweety S. Morgan. five sons; Antonio Morgan, Jerome Sr. (Tiffany) Clark-Morgan,
Vincent (Jody) Clark-Morgan, and Aaron (Amanda) Clark-Morgan, and nine grandchildren.

Veronica was the youngest of nine children Wilmatine Isom, Debbie McLemore, Vance L. (Donetha) Butler,
Terry L. (Sherri) Butler, her only living aunt Verdi Brown,
twenty-two nieces and nephews; and twenty-eight great nieces and nephews; all who she cared for.
A host of friends and family to remember her.

Visitation Monday October 18, 2021 from 10: am until time of service at pm. Service will be held at Cathy M. Williams and Sons Funeral Home 1695 Oakwood Ave. Alton, IL 62002 with burial to follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, Illinois.
