535 Trooper Albert Edward Charles Marshall, 6th South Australian Imperial Bushmen. Son of Mr and Mrs T Marshall. Resident of Port Pirie, South Australia. A farmer. He was a member of E. Company (Port Pirie) and a junior officer in the local Foresters' Lodge. He volunteered for service in South Africa during the Second Anglo Boer War. He was killed in action with De Wet's commando at Graspan, near Reitz, Orange River Colony. He is also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial Roll of Honour at Treloar Crescent, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia (see: https://vwma.org.au/explore/memorials/1797); on the Adelaide Boer War Memorial on North Terrace/King William Street, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia (see: https://vwma.org.au/explore/memorials/50) and on a Boer war memorial plaque in St Peter's Cathedral, Corner of King William Road and Pennington Terrace, North Adelaide, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia (see: https://vwma.org.au/explore/memorials/6122).
