Dr. Thomas Edward "Ed" Baldwin, Jr., 77, of Hot Springs Village, passed away October 12, 2021. On June 30, 1944, he was born in Tampa, Florida, to Thomas and Alice (Switzler) Baldwin.

Ed built his life around the things he loved most - adventure, service, storytelling, and family. As both a civilian and military doctor, he had the privilege of traveling the world with his family while providing personalized care for every one of his patients.

In 2009, Ed retired from the United States Air Force as Colonel Baldwin, Chief Flight Surgeon. Later that year, Ed and Becky moved to Arkansas to continue their journey. Ed continued practicing medicine at Mt. Ida Clinic while delving deeper into professional storytelling. His published work includes Bookman, Sliding Delta, and a four-part book series chronicling the adventures of an Air Force fighter pilot.

Ed and Becky celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2017 in Playa del Carmen with their children and grandchildren.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents and brother Warren Baldwin.

Loving survivors include his wife, Rebecca Baldwin; children Paul Baldwin (Barbara), Sarah Jo Christen (Jeffrey), and Roger Baldwin (Molly); sisters Virginia Gilbert (Barry) and Mary Jo Byrd (Ervin); grandchildren Thomas Edward Christen, Alexander Jeffrey Christen, Gary Edward Baldwin, and Adelle Alice Baldwin.
