Our mother, Ronda Ann Draughn Parker, 65, of Mt. Airy, gained her Heavenly wings at 5:17 PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Our mother was a very strong woman, she is absent down here but now present with the Lord. She was born in Surry County, February 7, 1956, to the late Tommie Roger and Beatrice Draughn. Our mother was a hard worker and was formerly employed at Spencer's and KDH. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Parker leaves behind her loving husband and best friend, Johnny Parker. "I love you Johnny Parker". She also leaves behind her precious daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Michael Davis; her caring son, Michael Parker and fiancée, Lisa Key; five grandchildren, Lathan Arnder, Riley Arnder, Madison Davis, Shawn Parker, and Savannah Parker; sisters, Shelvie Castle, Christine Pack, and Betty Draughn; several nieces and nephews and many other extended family members. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her brothers, Gilbert and Garland Draughn. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Edwards and Rev. Jack Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
