Lydia Ann became the wife of Simon M. Schiedel on January 1, 1885, in Waterloo Township. The couple had three children: Anson, Wesley, and Myra.
A young wife and mother, Lydia Ann died in June 1890 at the age of 23 years.

The top part of the gravestone is lying on the ground. The stone fragment is beside the graves of Lydia's husband and her son, Simon and Wesley Schiedel.
