She was born January 20, 1951 in Wayne, Michigan the daughter of Arthur and Helen Sisler. She was preceded in death by her parents; son; grandson, baby Mike; and sister, Diane Frederick.
Rita is survived by her loving children, Samantha (Gerard) Deland, Danielle Marie Lee, Jamie (Alex) Fetters and Debra (David) Cornwell; grandchildren, Jesse Mausser and Brandy Lee; great grandchildren, Isabella, Elyse and Thomas Deland and Dawson Fetters; sister, Karen (Steve) Selover; brothers, Thomas (Sharon) and Daniel (Sheryl) Sisler; God daughter, Deanna Frederick and several other nieces and nephews; and her fur baby Daisy Mae.
Rita will be remembered for her love and compassion for others. She touched the lives of many from being an active member of the Lions Club of Grass Lake, working at football games for years, helping out where she can, and cheering on her daughters in all they did. She was well known for being selfless, as she would give you whatever she had if you needed it. Most recently she enjoyed spending lots of time with her great grandchildren, including sleepovers, trips to apple orchards yearly, and even trips across Michigan. Rita recently went on her dream trip to Memphis and made some lasting memories. We believe Rita is now our guardian angel enjoying the days with her son.
Memorial luncheon will be Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Family Worship Center from 12-2pm, with visitation from 4-8 pm and the Rosary starting at 7:30 pm at Sherwood Funeral Home, Grass Lake.
