He was known as a hard worker and a dedicated provider for his family. He worked at Quebecor for 30 plus years. Mr. Cochran was passionate about sports, wrestling, heavy metal rock and roll, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. His favorite sports teams were the Nashville Predators, Tennessee Vols football, and the Tennessee Titans.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife: Kristi Parker Cochran; and his sister: Jennifer Dolton.
Survivors include his son: Quinton Cochran; his daughter: Sydney Shadowens (Jimmy); his grandchildren: Jace, Marley, and Easton; his mother-in-law: Maxine Neblett; and nieces: Paige McCracken and Sarah Stone.
A celebration of life service is planned for Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Riley officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. The family requests that anyone attending Jim's service to wear TN Volunteers or Nashville Predators shirts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mr. Cochran's funeral expenses at the Funeral Home.
