The oldest of six children, Lynne was born in Bridgeport, CT to James E. and Helen I. Connolly on June 2nd 1949.
She was predeceased by her husband David "Buzz" Owen, her devoted friend and husband for close to 40 years.
They were both friends of Bill W for most of their adult lives.. And, together, they cared for their many pets including Patti Passion, Dusty Petey, Lychee Saki, Missy Buttons, Padstser, and PC.
Lynne graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1967 and obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Schenectady County Community College.
Early on, Lynne worked in accounting positions for GE and Sterling Winthrop, and as a Counselor at Conifer Park. Her keen interest in computers led her to a job with Conservation Services Group, as a Financial Analyst, helping to work on data conversions. One of her most enjoyable jobs was working at Gade Farms in Altamont NY.
As a lover of animals, Lynne was involved in animal rights organizations, contributing regularly to PETA and ASPCA. She always had at least one cat or dog, with a fondness for shelties. Lynne and Buzz will be greatly missed by their devoted sheltie, Patti Passion.
Lynne will be remembered as a kind loving sister, friend, and wife. In her early years, she enjoyed bowling, skiing in the Berkshires, and weekend trips to Lebanon Valley Speedway. She would often take her excited youngest brother to drag races, skiing and bowling, in her powder blue Mustang convertible.
Lynne is preceded in death by her loving parents and husband Buzz. Her mother was particularly fond of her first born, and in her declining years Lynne would spend time with her on errands, hair, and doctor appointments
Lynne is survived by her siblings, Kerry Connolly of Saratoga Springs NY, James Connolly of Novato, CA, Kathleen Connolly of Saratoga Springs, NY, Timothy and Judith Connolly of Fultonham, NY, and Terence and Lisa Connolly of Ballston Spa, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
