Frances was born on April 26, 1924 in Callaway County, Fulton, Missouri and was the daughter of T. Gordon and Ruth (Glover) Moore. Frances married Robert W. Morris on December 1951 in Wapello. She had worked at the Wapello State Bank prior to her marriage. They moved to the farm near Letts where they resided for 36 years. Her husband called her his "helpmate" on the farm. Frances was an avid gardener and raised beautiful roses. She was also blessed with the gift of hospitality. And she loved to sew, especially for her family! Upon retirement they moved to Muscatine where they lived for 13 years until relocating to Burlington in 2000. Frances was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Muscatine and had been very active in the Letts Methodist Church and the Letts Independent Bible Church for many years. She had attended Oak Street Baptist Church while living in Burlington.
