Dorothy Elliott, 76, Centropolis, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin. The Rev. Rachel Counts-Casson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin.

Mrs. Elliott died Saturday, Sept. 7, 1991, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Lawrence.

She was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Fort Scott, the daughter of Richard and Lilly Snow Boring. Her family moved shortly after she was born to Nowata, Okla., where she lived until her father died. When she was 10, her family moved back to Fort Scott, where she completed her education.

On Feb. 12, 1930, she married Warren O. Elliott in Girard.

They lived in rural Arcadia, Eudora, Baldwin and Centropolis.

Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker. She was a member of various card clubs in the Centropolis and Baldwin area.

Survivors include her husband, of the home in Centropolis; two daughters, Sandy Elliott, Baldwin, and Betty Clark, Hays; five sons, Merrill Elliott, Baldwin, Bill Elliott, Overland Park, Dale Elliott, McAlester, Okla., Jim Elliott, Scranton, and Gary Elliott, Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Bob Stroud, Arma; two stepsisters, Oma Mitchell, Fort Scott, and Florence Kinder, Parker; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
