Louis Elvis Howard, 62, of Bedford, passed away October 8, 2021, at I. U. Health Hospital, Bloomington. He was born in Lawrence County on June 23, 1959, to Elvis and Minnie E. (Reeves) Howard.
Louis was a graduate of Bedford-North Lawrence High School and had attended Ivy Tech. He retired from Visteon and most recently had worked at Bedford Machine & Tool. He was a member of the local IUE Union.
Surviving to cherish Louis' memory are his son, Geoff Howard; cousin, Beth Abner Gray; and special friends, Jim and Katie Floerke.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Louis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will follow at Silverville Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13th, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
