Philias Cote was born in Saint-Francois-du-Lac, Quebec, Canada on August 7, 1897; the son of Joseph and Emma (Grenier) Cote.

He died in battle in WWI on March 6, 1918.

He was interred in Barlin Communal Cemetery Extension in Barlin, Departement du Pas de Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France in Plot II A. 25

*Private Philias Cote, No. 2724493, Co. C, 18th Infantry, Cause of Death Given only in These Letters, D.W.R.I.A., Sept 14, 1918. Burial at West Claremont, June 18, 1921.

Note that DWRIA means Died of Wounds Received in Action.
