MURRAY - Margaret "Peggy", 56, died unexpectedly on Oct. 9, 2021 at her home in Cocoa, Fla. Peggy was born March 9, 1965 in Johnstown, daughter of James and Margaret Duray Murray. She was a 1983 graduate of Greater Johnstown Vocational Technical School. Peggy was a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant. She was employed throughout her life in nursing homes and hospitals in Pennsylvania and Florida. Her last job was as a unit clerk and monitor reader for Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Fla. Peggy was a sweet soul who did not have a mean bone in her body. A fastidious neatnik who loved music, she reveled in her family and friends and lived a quiet life centered on home, work and family. She was generously giving to family and friends, and will be deeply missed. Peggy was predeceased by her father. In addition to her mother, she is survived by 7 brothers and sisters: Daniel, of Johnstown, Diane (Timothy) Gorka, Johnstown, Kimberly (Gary) Weakland, Johnstown; Kevin (Melinda) Murray, of Dayton, Pa., Kathleen (Richard) Price, Johnstown, James (Kimberly) Murray, Johnstown; and David (Kristie) Murray, Johnstown; nieces and nephews: Adam, Aaron and Maria Gorka, Michael (Colleen) Weakland, Kari (Terrill) Simms, Makayla and Melina Murray, Rachael (Iain) Wright, Tyler, Ryan and Tavis Price, and Alexandra Murray; step-nieces and nephews William and Rebecca Carnell, and Katelyn (Ty) Hammack. She is also survived by her longtime partner, Render Parker, of Cocoa. Fla. There will be no public viewing. All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at Resurrection Church in Johnstown on Monday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
