Donald Lewis Kerr, age 86, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, October 12, 2021. He was born on November 21, 1934 to Franklin and Dorothy (Byrns) Kerr in Edmonson County, Kentucky. Don married Evelyn Koder on July 21, 1963. Don was a truck driver for Raymond Chemical and Scottdel, Inc., until his retirement in 1999.

He was an avid motorcycle rider until August of this year, having traded in his two-wheeler for a trike as he got older. He was a die-hard fan of Alabama football and Kentucky basketball. Don was also a NASCAR fan, supporting Bill and Chase Elliot. He enjoyed bowling, even winning a father and son tournament with his son, Mo. Don loved spending time with his family and playing cards with his friends at the Wings Station. He was a man with a big heart and a fantastic sense of humor that never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Don is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Evelyn; as well as brothers, Russ (Ruby) Kerr and Elery (Carolyn) Kerr. He is also survived by his children, Delmar (Tina) Kerr, Rob Steusloff, Steve (Brenda) Kerr, Dan (Jan) Steusloff, Lori (Brent) Schelling, Ray (Kandie) Forest, Elaine (Ron) Wagner and Jamie (Lisa) Kerr; 26 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, 6 sisters, his sons, Donald Kerr, Jr., Bobby Kerr and Elmer "Mo" Kerr; grandson, Raymond Steusloff and great-grandson, Aaden Stambaugh.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 15th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. Visitation will continue Saturday, October 16th from 12:00 (Noon) to 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 N. Main St. in Swanton, where funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Justin McCall officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in West Unity. Last Ride to cemetery– All are welcome to ride.

Facial masks will be required at visitation and funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Children.
