David Lee Stevens, 80, of Bloomington, went home to be with the Lord at 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
His graveside service will be at Noon, Saturday, October 16 at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Pastor Brent Hanson will officiate and military rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

David was born April 16, 1941, in Normal, the son of Ralph David and Anna Doris Morgan Stevens. He married the love of his life, Lorraine Peplow on August 23, 1964 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years; three sons, Jeff (Tina) Stevens, Keith Stevens and Kelly (Dawn) Stevens; one daughter, Shelley Laesch; nine grandchildren, Riley, Bailey and Ellie Stevens, Kari (Gary) Hartley, Madison and Andrew Stevens, Candis (Eric) Watson, Connor and Brooklyn Laesch; three great-grandchildren, Landon and Melody Hartley and Ranger Laesch; two sisters, Anneta Strawn and Doris Maxwell and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Troy Lee Stevens and a son-in-law, Frank Laesch.
David graduated from Normal Community High School and National Barber College in Springfield. He was a tire builder at Bridgestone for 33 ½ years and operated Dave's Barber Shop in Carlock for many years. David's focus was always his family. He was happily involved in the activities of his children and grandchildren for many years. He was a role model of hard work and faith.
