AUGUSTA, GA. – Rodney L. Williams, 84, entered into rest Monday, October 11, 2021, in Augusta, GA. Mr. Rodney Leroy Williams.

Rodney was born in Cozad, NE on March 31, 1937 to Lucy & Claude Williams. After high school he joined the US Navy, serving on the USS Iowa and USS Northampton in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. After being discharged from the navy, he settled in South Carolina where he met his wife of 57 years, Renetta Eaddy Williams. He worked for South Carolina Electric & Gas Company at both Canadys Station and Fairfield Pump Storage, retiring after 33 years of service.

He loved his three children and four grandchildren very much and enjoyed vacationing and spending as much time as possible with them. He enjoyed living on Lake Murray in Chapin, SC, where he lived for over 40 years. He also enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and Clemson Football. He also loved his home town of Cozad, Nebraska. He was Baptist by faith.

He is survived by his wife: Renetta Eaddy Williams; children: Robert Williams (Michelle), Craig Williams (Samantha), and Megan Williams Armstrong (Tim); grandchildren: Hannah Williams (Tristan), Ally Williams, Parker Armstrong, and Ellie Armstrong; and his sister: Barbara Eaton.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 15, 2021, 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of North Augusta, with Rev. Roy Kiser officiating. Internment will be scheduled at a later date.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 PM at First Baptist Church of North Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to any of the following:
